Clinical education is a significant component of the physical therapy curriculum. The intent of this new manual is to provide information and references for individuals and clinical facilities interested in the development and enhancement of clinical education programs. Assembled by the Clinical Education Special Interest Group of the Education Section, the information is compiled from the literature, work completed by members of task forces, and the experience of clinicians and academicians. This manual includes guidelines for developing a clinical education program, scheduling students, record keeping, teaching duties of center coordinators of clinical education (CCCEs), evaluations of the clinic and clinical instructor (CI), and more.
